Ascot Gardens Self-Catering is a secure complex situated in the peaceful suburb of Bergvliet (lower Constantia) near Cape Town. It consists of four houses that have been tastefully altered and renovated to provide self-catering cottages, garden suites, and apartments of various sizes, prices, and furnishings. The complex is located in a beautiful one-acre garden, which has appeared on BBC TV's Gardeners World.

The garden features magnificent plants, trees, shrubs, stunning water features, and vibrant colors throughout the year. It is home to various wildlife, including birds, squirrels, fish, and frogs. The self-catering accommodations include ten one-bedroom cottages, garden suites and apartments, one two-bedroom suite, and one three-bedroom house, making it suitable for holidays, business trips, wedding guests, sports groups, family reunions, and visiting friends or relatives.

Each suite has its own DStv satellite television, music center, fans, heaters, safes, private entrance, patio with table and chairs, and barbeque facilities. The suites overlook the beautiful garden, which is in bloom throughout the year and has been opened for public viewing to raise funds for charity. The suites can be booked individually or combined for larger families as required.

The complex is situated within a 25-minute drive from the airport, V&A Waterfront, City Centre, and Table Mountain, and a 5-minute drive from the Constantia Winelands. Within walking distance, there are train stations, public bus stops, shopping centers, restaurants, churches, and tennis and bowling clubs. Ascot Gardens Self-Catering offers free 24/7 broadband Internet (including Skype) and wireless connection, a library, tourist brochure information, secure off-street parking, a fenced swimming pool, laundry facilities, and private entrances and patios with table and chairs and individual BBQ facilities.

All apartments are fully furnished with either a bath or shower en-suite and equipped with a stove or hot plate, microwave, fridge, pots, kettle, toaster, pans, crockery, glassware, cooking utensils, cutlery, kitchen towels, bedding, bath towels (not swimming towels), iron, and ironing board. The apartments have ceiling fans and infrared heaters in all bedrooms and lounges. The units are not serviced daily, but for long stays, the units are serviced, and the bed linen is changed every seven days.
