Aspen Villa Cottages

Aspen Villa Cottages offers self-catering accommodation with magnificent views of the Southern Drakensberg mountains. It provides walking paths to and from the accommodations to the river and picnic spot, as well as parks board hiking trails within walking distance. The area also offers horse rides, restaurants, and various activities.

Fishermans Stone cottage comprises an open-plan lounge/dining area with an open fireplace, sliding doors onto a covered patio with a built-in braai area and an open-air firepit. It has a fully equipped kitchen, a main bedroom with a king-size bed, fireplace, full en-suite bathroom with a bath, basin, shower, and toilet. The second bedroom features a double bed and two single bunk beds. Additionally, there is a family bathroom with a shower, toilet, and basin. All percale linen and towels are supplied.

Bushmans Rest Rondavel is a modernized traditional Zulu hut with all the electrical amenities, overlooking the iconic Rhino peak. It has a fully equipped kitchen, a queen-size bed, and an en-suite bathroom with a bath, overhead shower, basin, and toilet. There is also a covered veranda with a braai. Percale linen and towels are provided.

Aspen Villa Cottages offers the option to add adventure and romance to your holiday with a packed picnic hamper to enjoy in their giant heart in the field, down by the river, or packed for a hike. Alternatively, guests can cozy up under the stars with a stargazing hamper, complete with sweet and salty snacks, a selection of wine, and a warm beverage. Catered breakfast and dinner can be accommodated for with advanced notice and an additional cost.

The traditional Zulu Rondavel features a fully equipped kitchen with a two-plate stove, oven, bar fridge, microwave, kettle, toaster, and coffee plunger. It has a queen-size bed and an en-suite bathroom with an overhead shower and bath. Linen and towels are provided. There is a covered veranda with a braai and magnificent views, as well as a walking path down to the river and picnic spot. The unit price for the Rondavel is R750 per night.
