At 29 Columba is a bed and breakfast establishment graded as a 3-star establishment by the Tourism Grading Council of South Africa (TGSA). It is a tranquil resting place situated in Great Brak River, just a five-minute walk from the beach, overlooking the spectacular Outeniqua mountains and the river. The establishment offers two double and two twin comfortably furnished bedrooms, as well as a double room downstairs, with each room accommodating two people.

The features of At 29 Columba include barbecue facilities on the deck outside for guests to entertain themselves, and a loft with a fully equipped kitchen, a large living/dining area with DSTV and a sitting room to watch DVDs. Laundry and cleaning services are available, and safe parking is provided. Tours and transport are also available upon request.

The little village of Great Brak River, just a few kilometers from both Mossel Bay and George, is undoubtedly serene and beautiful. Great Brak River offers unspoilt beaches, a lagoon that is safe for swimming, and generous sea views. The stillness experienced along the banks of the Great Brak River, which also offers a number of picnic spots, has led to this little town being much sought after by those wanting to escape it all.

Interesting things to see and do in the area include the Great Brak River Museum, the Watson Shoe Factory, and an example of the largest Pepper tree in South Africa. There is a circular route outlining the history and culture of the village, and Southern Right and other whales visit the shore from May through November. Romantic walks and picnicking on the beach at sundown are popular activities in the area.

Children of all ages are welcome when a family books the whole unit for two nights or more. The establishment is located within walking distance of the beach. The double room en-suite has a patio door to a balcony with a beautiful view of the mountain and river. Guests share communal areas such as the fully equipped kitchen, living area/lounge with DSTV, a sitting room with a DVD player, a dining area, and a deck with braai facilities.
