At The River Ishasha is a lodge located in Ishasha, Uganda, minutes away from Queen Elizabeth National Park. It offers rustic and tranquil accommodation, including uniquely built cabins, a swimming pool, and surroundings ideal for spotting various wildlife species such as birds, monkeys, and baboons.

The lodge is set on 60 acres of land and provides accommodation options for different types of travelers, ranging from campsites to glamping-style accommodations. Guests can pitch tents in the simple camp area, stay in stripped-back cabins, or book the family-sized treehouse overlooking the Ntungwe River.

The lodge has six en-suite cottages, including two family rooms with great views of the river and Ishasha National Park on the opposite bank. The cottages are spacious and equipped with amenities like flushing toilets, sinks, hot showers with a view, large beds with mosquito nets, towels, and bottled water.

Situated close to the national park, the lodge offers opportunities for game drives, allowing guests to potentially spot elephants, lions, hyenas, antelopes, buffaloes, and various bird species. The famous tree-climbing lions of Ishasha can be seen perched in the branches, with lush vegetation and breathtaking views of the Rwenzori and Virunga Mountain ranges in the distance.

At the lodge's restaurant, guests can enjoy reasonably priced beer and succulent cuisine, with a focus on using organic products to ensure nutritious and fresh quality food whenever possible. The raised restaurant and bar provide a casual spot to relax with a cold drink while taking in panoramic views of the Kigezi Wildlife Reserve.
