Bakenhof Winelands Lodge

Bakenhof Winelands Lodge is a picturesque 36-hectare grape farm situated in the winelands region, approximately 55 minutes from Cape Town. The property features two distinct accommodation complexes with newly renovated suites that can collectively house 22 adults and 8 children, with both complexes being within walking distance of each other and the on-site wedding venue.

The Garden View Complex, situated next to the Manor House, provides stunning views of the rose garden and pond area. It houses four suites accommodating 8 adults and 2 children. The premier Kolkol Suite offers luxurious amenities including a private entrance, kitchen, lounge area, en-suite bathroom, and an outdoor barbeque area with a private wood-fired hot tub. Three additional deluxe suites cater to couples seeking refined accommodation in peaceful surroundings.

The Mountain View Complex, overlooking the Hawequa mountains, features specialized facilities ideal for various celebrations and events. It includes a Pamper Parlour for bridal preparations, the Instagram-worthy Den for groomsmen, and communal areas including a kitchen, dining/lounge space with fireplace, and outdoor barbeque area. The complex's Sunset Deck offers mountain views and a large hot tub, while Jimmy's Kraal provides a self-catering Boma barbeque option.

The Mountain View Complex accommodates 14 adults and 6 children across four suites, each equipped with en-suite bathrooms, air conditioning, TV monitors, coffee-making facilities, and fridges. The suites vary in design and purpose, from family-friendly units to a unique Get Ready Suite featuring a luxury dormitory-style space perfect for pre-wedding gatherings and special occasions.

As a country venue, Bakenhof specializes in elegant weddings and exclusive events for 10 to 100 guests, offering various indoor and outdoor options including a romantic marquee tent, chapel, sunset deck, and an elegant banquet hall. The venue caters to various events from intimate gatherings to elaborate celebrations, making it suitable for weddings, bachelorette parties, kitchen teas, baby showers, elopements, and family gatherings.
