Bakersfield Self-Catering Cottages

Bakersfield Self-Catering Cottages is situated on a smallholding in a scenic valley, a short distance from Kokstad. The cottages offer views of Mount Currie. Each cottage has one bedroom with twin beds and an en-suite bathroom. The cottages are equipped with televisions with DStv, as well as heaters. Each unit features a kitchen that is fully equipped with a two-plate gas stove, a microwave, a refrigerator, pots, pans, cutlery, crockery, a kettle, and a toaster. Braai facilities are also available for guests.

The Kokstad area is renowned for its numerous rivers and dams, which provide opportunities for trout fishing. There are three nature reserves in the vicinity: Mount Currie, Wilfred Bauer with its picturesque picnic spots, and the Mountain Lake Nature Reserve. The Mountain Lake Nature Reserve is a small reserve that features over 220 species of birds, making it an ideal destination for bird watchers. The reserve also offers tracks and paths for enjoyable walks. The Crystal Dam offers ample opportunities for boating and angling.
