Bamboo, The Guesthouse is a Bed and Breakfast establishment located in the picturesque Garden Route town of Knysna. It is committed to ensuring that guests' stay is relaxing, enjoyable, and memorable. The guesthouse is conveniently situated just a short drive from the bustling town center of Knysna and its vibrant Waterfront, as well as within easy reach of the famous Knysna Heads, Leisure Isle, Thesen Island, and three magnificent golf courses.

Located in a truly magnificent, forested garden with two sparkling saltwater swimming pools, Bamboo, The Guesthouse offers 15 elegantly furnished en-suite rooms with private terraces or decks. Each room has its own character and is accessed via an elevated wooden walkway that weaves through the magical garden. All rooms are serviced daily and contain amenities such as a bar fridge, flat-screen TV, radio/alarm iPod dock, mini-safe, ceiling fan, wall heater, hairdryer, and tea/coffee making facilities. Honeymooners have the option of a secluded garden cottage or a tree top suite, while family rooms and suites cater to families with children of all ages.

A sumptuous breakfast is served daily on an elevated deck overlooking the Knysna forest. Guests can choose from a cold buffet offering homemade muffins, muesli, fresh fruit salad, and yogurt, and order hot dishes from the menu, including omelets, eggs Benedict, full English breakfast, French toast, and sweet or savory pancakes. Light lunches are also available.

The guesthouse has an in-house curio shop that houses an eclectic collection of African art, crafts, and artifacts, including jewelry, paintings, baskets, carvings, batiks, keyrings, and other decorative items. The genial hosts, Jaynie and Gordon, and their staff are always available to share their knowledge of Knysna and the surrounding areas, as well as arrange bookings for activities, excursions, and restaurants.

The Knysna area offers various activities, including snorkeling, surfing, kloofing/canyoning, kite surfing, sailing, lagoon and ocean cruises, paragliding, skydiving, fishing, bungee jumping, horse riding, hiking, quad biking, abseiling, canoeing, and dolphin and whale watching. The area also hosts attractions such as three golf courses, wildlife sanctuaries, game and nature reserves, beaches, forests, mountain passes, wine estates, ostrich farms, museums, art galleries, restaurants, and shops.

Bamboo, The Guesthouse has hosted a few small, intimate weddings. Honeymoon couples are welcomed with a bottle of Cap Classic wine, flowers, and chocolates. In-room massages can be arranged in front of the fireplace. Guests are encouraged to ask the hosts to arrange any special requests to make their stay as memorable as possible. The romantic cottages or apartment-style rooms are furnished with a king-size bed and an en-suite bathroom with a bath and shower, and all units have a wood-burning fireplace and a fully equipped kitchenette.
