Bateleur Bushveld Camp is a delightful camp situated on the banks of the Mashokwe spruit, approximately 40km southwest of Shingwedzi in the northern Mopane/Woodland savannah of the Kruger National Park in South Africa. The camp is named after the majestic eagle, Bateleur, and is the oldest and smallest of the bushveld camps, offering a unique atmosphere and superb game viewing.

One of the many features Bateleur offers is a game-viewing hide that overlooks a waterhole just outside the camp. Two dams, Silwervis and Rooibosrand, are within close range of the camp and are restricted to the residents of Bateleur, ensuring that there will never be a traffic jam even if the camp is full.

From September 1, 2017, all visitors over 18 years old are required to produce their identity document (ID), passport, or alternative valid identification such as a driver's license card for scanning upon entering/exiting the Park. It is important to note that the rates are subject to the number of adults and children staying, and quotes will include the 1% Community Levy but will exclude daily conservation fees, which are to be paid directly to the camp upon arrival.

The camp offers units big enough for families to stay in, and children aged 6 and over are welcome to join the various game drives offered. Accommodation must be booked for the previous night at the camp, and no meals are provided. The game drives depart around 04:30 in summer and 05:30 in winter, with a duration of 3-4 hours. Experienced guides drive the groups, but it is important to note that children under the age of 6 are not permitted to take part in these activities for their own safety.
