Berg En Dal Rest Camp Kruger National Park Sanparks

Berg En Dal Rest Camp is situated within the Kruger National Park, which is managed by Sanparks. The camp is located on the bank of the Matjulu Spruit, offering a view of softly undulating hills to the east. On the northern and southern sides, dry riverbeds and a dam border the camp. Large trees line the streams and dry riverbeds, and special care has been taken to preserve the natural vegetation within the camp. Berg-en-Dal is the only camp set in a rugged mountain environment.

The rates for accommodation at Berg En Dal Rest Camp are subject to the number of adults and children staying. Quotes provided will include the 1% Community Levy but exclude daily conservation fees, which must be paid directly to the camp upon arrival. From September 1, 2017, all visitors over 18 years old are required to produce a valid identification document, such as an ID card, passport, or driver's license, upon entering or exiting the Kruger National Park.

Berg En Dal Rest Camp offers family-sized units, and children aged 6 and over are welcome to join the various game drives offered. The camp also provides campsites with communal ablutions and cooking facilities, which can accommodate up to six guests per site. Accommodation must be booked for the previous night at the camp, and no meals are provided.

The camp offers guided walks for up to eight guests, where experienced and armed guides take visitors to interesting places in the surrounding wilderness areas adjacent to the camps. The walks are relaxed, and the guides use their knowledge of the bush to explain natural wonders. Additionally, trained field guides with backup rifles take groups of up to eight people out into the bush for a few hours, tracking rhinos, elephants, and lions on foot while learning and observing fascinating facts about the African bush. Children under the age of 13 are not allowed on these guided walks.
