Bergrivier Chalets Eastern Cape is an eco-retreat situated in peaceful surroundings at the beginning or end of the Baviaanskloof route. It offers luxury accommodation in a rondavel or a pioneer experience in an ox-wagon. There is also a beautiful campsite where guests can pitch a tent. The location is a paradise for birdwatchers, with the Knysna Loerie, Night Jar, Crown Eagle, and Fish Eagle often seen or heard.

The retreat is conveniently located in the scenic Eastern Cape, approximately 50 km west of Port Elizabeth and close to the N2 highway. The popular beach resort of Jeffrey's Bay is only 35 km away.

The units feature air-conditioning, coffee/tea making facilities, a fireplace, a kitchenette, a microwave, a refrigerator, and a sitting area. There are two bedrooms with a double bed and two single beds, as well as two sofa beds in the living room. The outside bathroom has a separate bath and shower, while there is an inside shower. Each unit also includes a patio.
