Berluda Farmhouse & Cottages is an intimate guest house experience situated en route to the Cango Caves, in the picturesque Schoemanshoek Valley. The ninth generation owners, Piet and Laura Schoeman, extend a warm welcome and continue the tradition of hospitality offered by Piet's mother, Rosie. The restaurant offers breakfast and dinner reservations only, and Berluda is well known for its authentic South African farm hospitality and traditional South African cuisine.

The original farmhouse features six individually decorated, en-suite bedrooms with homely comforts, air-conditioning, and Jacuzzi baths, surrounded by apricot orchards, lush gardens, and a swimming pool. Additionally, there are six self-catering family cottages offering nature lovers ample peace and tranquility in beautiful Karoo surroundings, each with a private braai and Jacuzzi. These units also have access to a swimming pool and children's playground. Berluda is a must-visit destination for birdwatchers and hikers. To cater to discerning travellers, two luxury cottages have been added, offering extra comfort, space, and breathtaking views of the Swartberg Mountains from the private braai area.

Piet Schoeman runs one of the largest working ostrich farms in the area and was elected the Western Cape's "Young Farmer of the year 2006". His wife Laura offers tours in English, Afrikaans, German, and Dutch, providing an experience not to be missed. Meerkat or farm tours, as well as sunset drives, are available for booking, offering a once-in-a-lifetime experience unique to the Little Karoo. The secluded, stylish accommodation promises peace and quiet. The spacious 2-bedroom/2-bathroom cottages feature a Queen bed and two Single beds, with open-plan living areas equipped with air conditioning, fully equipped kitchens, and private braai (barbeque) facilities on the patio.
