Berry Cottage

Berry Cottage is situated next to a stream on a small berry farm located approximately 5 kilometers from Franschhoek, which is known as the Gourmet Capital of South Africa. The cottage offers two bedrooms, one of which is equipped with a double bed and an en-suite bathroom, while the other features two single beds and an adjoining bathroom. The open-plan kitchen and living room area includes a fireplace that provides a cozy atmosphere during winter evenings, and a fully-equipped kitchen for guests who prefer not to dine at Franschhoek's world-renowned restaurants. Additionally, the cottage offers a swimming pool for guests' use.

Two well-known wineries are within walking distance of the cottage, and the area also features museums, galleries, and spas for those seeking a pampering getaway. Bird watchers can enjoy the resident Egyptian Geese in the Stone Pines lining the stream, as well as squirrels, guinea fowl, hadedahs, and Sunbirds that come to drink from the feeding bottle hanging on the stoep. For the more energetic guests, activities such as mountain biking, hiking, and horse riding are available.

The cottage has recently installed solar power, ensuring that power outages are no longer an issue. It is a two-bedroom getaway surrounded by lush lawns and trees, offering a fully-equipped kitchen in an open-plan layout with the living room, and providing a romantic setting with a fireplace within the private cottage.
