Beverley Country Cottages

Beverley Country Cottages is located in the Dargle Valley of the Natal Midlands, on the farm Beverley, where the early Irish settlers established their homes in the late 1800s. It is part of the Midlands Meander, an area known for its world-class artists and craftsmen, offering visitors a chance to experience a gentler pace of life while enjoying friendly hospitality and comfortable accommodations.

The property features four self-catering cottages: The Hayloft, Dairy, Stables, and Thatched Cottages. All bedrooms are en-suite, with most having a shower and a bath. The central lounges are equipped with log fireplaces, creating a cozy atmosphere during chilly winter days. These cottages can accommodate two to eight guests, making them suitable for romantic getaways, family holidays, or various other stays. Each cottage has its own veranda and unique views. Activities such as fishing, walking, and exploring the indigenous forests can be arranged.

In the original stone homestead, built in 1913, there are two additional large rooms with oregan floors and ceilings, offered on a bed and breakfast basis only. Guests can enjoy the splendor of these elegant rooms, relaxing in the grand Victorian baths or the comfortable sleigh or four-poster beds. Each room has its own separate entrance off a shared veranda.

The property offers an escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life, providing a world of peace and tranquility amidst beautiful scenery. It is ideal for families with young children, as the entire property is fenced, has no pool or water, and offers open grass gardens, fields, and animals to interact with.

One of the delightful cottages, with a magnificent view from its verandah, features a comfortable, modern interior with an open plan lounge, kitchen, and dining area. It has two en-suite bedrooms, one with a queen bed and the other with extra-long twin beds.
