Birch Cottage

A self-catering house known as Birch Cottage is comfortably furnished and situated in Clarens, offering beautiful views of the surrounding mountains. All rooms in the cottage provide spectacular views, allowing guests to connect with nature. The cottage is conveniently located within a short walking distance from the town center.

Clarens itself is located in the foothills of the Maluti Mountains, in close proximity to the Golden Gate National Park and the Mountain Kingdom of Lesotho. The cottage comprises two double bedrooms with queen-size beds, accommodating four guests, and a loft area with two single beds, accommodating two additional guests. It features two bathrooms, one of which is en-suite, a fully equipped kitchen with laundry facilities, and a comfortable dining room and lounge area with a fireplace and a flat-screen TV equipped with a full DStv bouquet.

The veranda is considered the heart of the home, offering a perfect spot to sit and appreciate the beautiful surroundings. Throughout the year, but especially during autumn when the leaves turn golden, the scenery in Clarens attracts artists and photographers. Art galleries, a lovely church, and a museum are worth visiting. The relaxed village atmosphere, spectacular views, and mild climate make Clarens an idyllic weekend getaway.

The cottage has two bedrooms, each with a queen-sized bed, and a loft area. There are two bathrooms, one of which is en-suite. The cottage has a TV, and DStv can be viewed, but guests are required to bring their own smart card and decoder. Please note that the displayed rate is based on a maximum of four guests, and additional guests sleeping in the loft are subject to a surcharge of R150.00 per person per night.
