Brittlewood Estate is a 7-hectare property located in Underberg, South Africa. It features the Birches and Willows cottages, designed to cater to discerning travelers. The Birches and Willows cottages are luxuriously appointed and serviced daily to international standards. They are situated in a private garden riverfront estate bounded by the Umzimkulu river on one side and the blue mountain sky on the other.

Underberg and its surrounds offer numerous outdoor facilities, including a visit to the highest pub in Africa, which requires a valid passport. Local tour operators provide day excursions to San painting sites, horse trails, biking, quad bike excursions, 4X4 excursions, hiking, birdwatching, trout fishing, white water rafting, tubing, rock climbing, abseiling, golf, and more.

Birches Cottage is a spacious and luxurious suite situated in a private garden, accommodating up to three people with an extra-length king-size bed and a queen-size sleeper couch. The kitchenette is equipped with a fridge, four-plate hob with overhead extractor, microwave, toaster, and kettle, designed for limited self-catering. The cottage consists of a luxuriously appointed kitchen, lounge, and dining area, as well as a fully carpeted and spacious bedroom with leather couches, kelims, built-in cupboards, and a writing bureau. The spacious bathroom offers a bath, separate shower, and his/hers basins. The appointments are luxurious and designed to meet the requirements of the most discerning traveler. Amenities include a cosy gas fireplace, panel heaters, and electric blankets, with gas charged separately. The beds are dressed in percale linen, and the embroidered duvets are filled with duck down.
