Bishops Guest House

The Bishops Guest House is an old-style colonial home situated in a well-maintained garden in the northern Kwa-Zulu-Natal town of Vryheid. It offers ten luxurious en-suite bedrooms, and a delicious breakfast is included in the affordable rate. Guests can relax in the privacy of their rooms or on the wraparound veranda that overlooks the huge gardens, swimming pool, and braai area.

The guest house is surrounded by old trees and provides safe, secure parking facilities available in five lock-up garages. The town of Vryheid, which derived its name from the Afrikaans word for freedom, lies northeast of the town of Dundee in Zululand, and is also the site of one of the more notorious battles along the Battlefields Route, the battle of Blood River.

The Bishops Guest House caters for kitchen teas, small weddings, stork parties, birthday dinners, and other functions. Each room has a queen-size bed, one three-quarter bed, and an en-suite bathroom.
