Blue Whale Resort

The Blue Whale Resort is a 3-star graded self-catering accommodation located in a private nature reserve on the seafront, approximately 10 km from George central, 13 km from George Airport, and 6 km from the N2 in South Africa. It consists of 8 sea-facing units and 2 valley-facing units, each unit designed to comfortably accommodate 4 persons.

The resort is surrounded by indigenous forests and fynbos vegetation, offering opportunities to observe whales, dolphins, and a variety of indigenous bird life while walking or cycling the short hiking trails. The area is renowned for its fishing spots, with numerous fish species that can be caught from the rock beach.

Each of the 10 identical chalets features two bedrooms (either a double and twin or twin and twin configuration), a bathroom with a bath and shower, an open-plan fully equipped kitchen, and a covered barbecue area. Eight chalets boast beautiful sea views, while two offer a distant sea view or valley view.

The resort also houses a conference facility suitable for weddings, conferences, or year-end functions, with catering provided by a company called Chilli & Chive. The venue, surrounded by indigenous fynbos and offering sea views, can accommodate up to 130 wedding guests and between 20 and 50 conference delegates, depending on specific requirements.
