Blyde River Cabins

Blyde River Cabin Guesthouse offers private log cabins situated within a wildlife conservancy and on the fringe of a critically endangered riverine forest. The cabins are located near the perennial Blyde River, providing an environment where nature's beauty, sounds, and smells can be experienced. It is a suitable destination for those seeking a respite from city life while remaining close to world-famous attractions.

The guesthouse is an ideal setting for family getaways, romantic weekends, or as a base camp for exploring the Blyde River Canyon and Kruger National Park, along with their surrounding attractions. On-site activities such as guided forest or bush walks and game or night drives are available.

The fully equipped cabins can accommodate four to six persons and feature amenities like satellite TV, air conditioners, secure undercover parking, and private braai areas. From the deck overlooking the river, guests can relax and admire their surroundings or scan the bush for resident fauna, including endangered species like the pels fishing owl. Various animals, such as hippos, crocodiles, bush babies, chacma baboons, waterbucks, giraffes, kudus, impalas, warthogs, and spotted hyenas, have been spotted from the deck, with signs of other elusive creatures like leopards and wood owls ever present.

The guesthouse offers private safari activities like game/night drives, guided bush/forest walks, and various combos. Day trips to Kruger Park and Blyde River Canyon are also available. The cabins provide a private and secluded environment, making them an ideal venue for a romantic getaway.

There is a jungle gym and sandpit at the log cabin for children to enjoy. All units are family units, ideal for spending quality family time together. The air-conditioned log cabin has three bedrooms, one with a double bed and two with two single beds each. It also features two en-suite bathrooms, one with a bath and one with a shower, as well as a fully equipped kitchen. Dinner is available upon request.
