Blyde River Canyon Lodge

Blyde River Canyon Lodge is a lodge situated between the Drakensberg Mountains and the Blyde River. It is situated in an 85-hectare botanical reserve that features a wealth of fauna and flora. The lodge offers a unique bush experience for local and international travelers, as well as accommodation for businessmen and women in the area.

The lodge is located along the scenic Panorama Route in the Blyde River Canyon of the Mpumalanga/Limpopo Province. It is easily accessible to several tourist attractions, including the Bourke's Luck Potholes, Three Rondawels, God's Window, and various waterfalls. The lodge is also a 40-minute drive from the Orpen Gate of the Kruger National Park. It is rated 4 Star Superior by the Tourism Grading Council of South Africa, boasting excellent comfort, quality, high standards of furnishings, service, and guest care.

Accommodation at the lodge comprises six double/twin rooms with en-suite bathrooms, one en-suite Honeymoon Suite, and a luxury cottage with two en-suite bedrooms. All rooms are tastefully furnished, fully air-conditioned, and equipped with satellite TV, as well as tea and coffee-making facilities. Each room leads out onto the tranquil gardens, where zebras and wildebeests wander by.

The lodge features a blend of Victorian and African decor, complementing the beauty and majesty of 900-year-old Jackelberry trees that provide shade over the pristine lawn areas. Full English breakfasts are served daily, and delicious country cuisine is available on request for lunch and dinner. The lodge also offers additional accommodation options, including Sunbird Cottage 1 with a master bedroom, en-suite bathroom, fully equipped kitchen, lounge, and dining area, as well as BushBaby Cottage 2 and Mongoose Cottage 3, each with two bedrooms, a shared bathroom, and a kitchenette. Amenities at the lodge include a braai area and a swimming pool.
