Bonamanzi Game Reserve is a private South African Big 4 game reserve, safari lodge, and natural heritage site. It is also one of the largest private wildlife and birding parks in Zululand, spanning over 4000 hectares of pristine African bush. Each day offers a unique experience, whether it involves game viewing safaris, spotting rare African birds, tracking elephants, or participating in traditional Zulu dances around the campfire.

Bonamanzi Game Reserve provides a range of accommodation options, from fully catered lodging to self-catering chalets, tented accommodation, and a stunning tree house. Regardless of the choice, guests are assured of exceptional service and luxury. The Lalapanzi catered camp features 38 en-suite rooms, a pool, a restaurant, a pub, and a viewing lounge. The four-bed and two-bed tree houses consist of self-catering units, double and twin rooms, showers, and kitchenettes. The game lodge and tree lodge are self-catering, offering twin rooms, double-bedded rooms, showers, baths, and pools. The Dinizulu luxury camp offers catered double chalets with showers, baths, a pool, a private dining area, an entertainment area, a personal cook, and a ranger.

Guests can fly into Durban and experience the Bonamanzi private game reserve and safari lodge. Local Zulu guides introduce visitors to various African game species, including big and small animals, as well as some of South Africa's most endangered and rare bird species. Bonamanzi, a Zulu name meaning "Look! Water!", offers water-based activities like a bird cruise down the Hluhluwe River, where visitors can spot flamingos, pelicans, hippos, and crocodiles at the adjoining World Heritage site of Lake St. Lucia. For those interested in combining their Zululand experience with visits to the Big Five game viewing areas of the Kruger Park and Swaziland, Bonamanzi is conveniently located an hour and a half's drive from the Golela border post with Swaziland.
