Bonamanzi Guest House is situated on the banks of the Steelpoort River, between Steelpoort and Burgersfort in the Steelpoort Valley. It was established in 2002 and is considered one of the top guest houses in the region. The town of Burgersfort was named after a hexagonal fort built during the 1876-77 Second War against the Bapedi of Chief Sekhukhune and is currently surrounded by various mines.

The guest house initially consisted of only 12 rooms, but has since expanded to 23 en-suite rooms. The garden at Bonamanzi is a typical bushveld setting, with a lush green paradise and the soothing sounds of the Steelpoort River. It has an on-site a la carte restaurant and bar that serves breakfast, lunch/lunch packs, and dinner. The restaurant hours are Breakfast: 06H00 to 09H00, and Dinner & Bar: 17H00 to 20H00.

The standard rooms feature double/Queen/twin beds with a television, DStv with selected channels (including m-net and all sport channels), built-in cupboards, air-conditioning, and an en-suite bathroom (shower only). Towels are provided as extras. Some of the rooms overlook the Steelpoort River.
