Boscobel Cottages

Boscobel Cottages is located in the forested mountains and streams of Magoebaskloof. The establishment features three cozy stone and thatch cottages, each offering privacy and charm, set in lovely gardens and lawns. The cottages are named and color-schemed after the Boscobel Oak history and theme: the Royal Cottage is furnished in red, the Crown Cottage in blue, and the Acorn Cottage in green.

All cottages are comfortably furnished and built over two levels. The upper level consists of a loft room with two single beds, while the main bedroom and bathroom are located downstairs and open onto a covered patio with a barbecue. The fully equipped kitchens have cutlery, crockery, pots, pans, a two-plate stove, fridge, and microwave. Ample freezer space is also available in the main lodge. Guests can walk around the wonderful garden or relax in the lounge with a cozy fireplace during winter.

Magoebaskloof offers opportunities for hiking, trail running, mountain biking, and birding. The area hosts various festivals, such as the Berry festival, Kiwi festival, and Spring festival, featuring arts and crafts worth visiting. Boscobel Cottages provides hiking trails, mountain bike trails, and excellent bird life with guided tours available from Kurisa Moya. Other activities include scenic drives to Dap Naude Dam, picnics in the Woodbush, and outdoor play areas with swings, a slide, and a trampoline.

The Acorn Cottage, with its lovely green color scheme, offers two bedrooms: a King Bed downstairs and three-quarter beds upstairs, with a shared bathroom on the lower level. It features a fireplace for chilly evenings, electric blankets on the beds, and a fully equipped kitchen that opens onto a furnished covered patio with barbecue facilities and views of the beautiful surrounding gardens. The cottages are serviced daily.
