Bougain-Villa

Bougain-Villa is run by Esme and John Classens, who welcome guests into their wonderfully restored home. They offer standard accommodation as well as some wonderful packages that include tours of the area and trips to the mountain led by John himself in John's Donkey.

There are two en-suite bedrooms with double beds, equipped with tea and coffee-making facilities with rusks, TVs with satellite channels, fans for the hot summer months, and electric blankets for the chilly winter evenings. These rooms have separate entrances. Additionally, there is one room with twin beds and another room with a queen-size bed that share a bathroom across the passage.

John is an accredited tour guide and offers a variety of day trips. John's 'donkey', his vehicle, can take visitors to the Cango Caves, Meirings Poort, Die Top, Gamkaskloof- Die Hell, or along the Swartberg Pass. He possesses excellent knowledge of the area and has many stories to share during the rides. Packages for these tours are also available.

Breakfast and dinner vouchers are available upon request, but are not included in the price. These vouchers are valid for meals at the Swartberg Hotel. The double bed room with an en-suite shower bathroom costs R400 for a single occupancy and R700 for double occupancy per night. This room has its own entrance and is equipped with tea and coffee-making facilities with rusks, TVs with DStv, electric blankets for the chilly winter nights, and fans for the hot summers.
