Bovlei Guest Farm is located approximately 10 kilometers from Clanwilliam in the serene and tranquil Boskloof Valley, surrounded by the majestic Krakadouw and Cedarberg mountains. The farm has been owned by the Nieuwoudt family for several generations, who have been farming with citrus. Consequently, numerous cherished memories have been created under the giant oak trees, around the fireplaces, and on the lawn in the shade of Toringkop. Adjacent to the old farmhouse is an old mill that was previously used by the farmers of the kloof to grind flour for bread.
Self-catering accommodation at Bovlei is offered in the 100-year-old farmhouse, which features four double rooms, along with the additional option of a separate two-bedroom flat. It provides an ideal getaway for multiple families seeking a relaxed and peaceful outing. The farm is surrounded by the spectacular scenic beauty of the flower season, and guests can also explore nearby attractions such as Lamberts Bay, Wupperthal, Namaqualand, and Clanwilliam, where various water sport facilities are available. Well-known hiking trails to Toringkop, Krakadouw Mountains, Godu201au00c4u00f4s Window, and the Biedouw Valley begin at the farm's doorstep.
Apart from indulging in life's pleasures, Bovlei offers guests the opportunity to swim in the Jan Dissels River or hike across the river to Godu201au00c4u00f4s Window at Platberg. Visitors may even be fortunate enough to spot a leopard or its footprints. The Boskloof Valley is rich in birdlife, with 76 different bird species already spotted in the area.
