Brackenhills is a private nature reserve situated in the Langeberg mountains, bordering the Grootvadersbosch forests. It offers four stylish tented lodges situated high up in the mountains, providing visitors with magnificent mountain views and the opportunity to wake up to the chorus of forest birds.

The nature reserve provides a variety of activities for visitors, including hiking through indigenous forests and largely unexplored mountains, swimming in refreshing pools in the deep river gorge, guided forest tours to the Canyon or to view the herd of Cape Buffalo, clay pigeon shooting, and picnicking in the forest. Visitors can also enjoy good food and wine in front of an open African fire.

The tented lodges are designed to provide a comfortable and relaxing stay, with each tent having its own private outdoor bathroom. The reserve offers both fully catered and self-catered options. The fully catered service provides exquisitely prepared traditional African meals, while the self-catered option includes access to an open-air shared area with a braai (barbecue) and a fully equipped kitchen.

One of the tented lodges is a romantic luxury tent. It is tastefully set within the forest and features an oversized bed with immaculate furnishings for two. The large, spacious en-suite bathroom offers views into the secluded forest, allowing guests to immerse themselves in the beautiful sounds of nature.
