A guest house named Bread House is owner-run by Isabel Ferreira. It is a secure and homely establishment situated in the town of Bethlehem, which was founded on the farm Pretoriuskloof in 1864 and is located in the heart of the Eastern Free State. Bethlehem serves as an ideal stopover location for guests travelling from KwaZulu-Natal, via the Drakensberg, to Bloemfontein on their way to Cape Town.

The name Bethlehem is derived from the biblical word "broodhuis," meaning House of Bread. The name is well-suited as the town is situated at the center of one of the most fertile wheat-growing regions in the country.

Bread House offers accommodation in five individually decorated en-suite rooms, each with its own private entrance. The rooms are located next to the swimming pool, and each contains either a double bed or twin beds. Room facilities include shared satellite TV, hot beverage-making facilities, and electric blankets. Some of the rooms are equipped with bar fridges. Guests can enjoy a full breakfast in the dining room upon request and pre-booking. There is a built-in braai on the patio, next to the pool. Secure on-site parking is available for guests.
