Breakaway Trails

Breakaway Trails is a mountain retreat situated between the Free State, Eastern Cape, and Transkei provinces, located between mountains, natural creeks, and the Orange River. It is located approximately 190 kilometers from Bloemfontein on the N6 towards Aliwal North. The establishment offers four cozy mountain chalets that provide comfortable accommodation while allowing guests to experience the great outdoors.

The chalets are managed by their owners, ensuring personalized care and attention for guests. One of the chalets features two bedrooms, two bathrooms, an open-plan kitchen, and a living area. It also includes a spacious verandah with braai facilities. The chalet is fully equipped with everything needed for self-catering.

Guests at Breakaway Trails can enjoy exploring the surroundings, including the Orange River, natural creeks with caves and rock art, as well as various trees and bird life. The area is home to small game such as mountain reedbuck, steenbuck, springbuck, and blesbuck, which can be observed in their natural habitats. The establishment aims to provide an ideal getaway for individuals, families, or groups at affordable rates, allowing visitors to disconnect from stress and reconnect with nature.
