Breede Bush Camp is situated just outside Swellendam and offers luxury tented accommodation on the banks of the Breede River. The self-catering bush camp accommodation provides a private and secluded getaway for those who appreciate nature or simply want to relax in tranquil surroundings.

The camp lacks electricity, with lighting provided by solar-powered lights and battery-operated lanterns, while the fridge and hot water geysers are gas-powered. There is no cellphone reception at the camp, although a signal can be picked up 200 meters away. Despite being isolated, the bush camp remains a safe and private destination, with the nearest shop being 30 kilometers away.

The central lodge features an open-plan lounge and dining area with couches surrounding a stone fireplace. A large dining table is provided, and a fully range of crockery, cutlery, and glassware is stocked. The well-equipped kitchen has a large fridge, a gas burner, and a double sink with hot water. All pots, pans, and cooking implements are provided, including a braai grid and pots for cooking over an open fire. The bathroom includes a shower, basin with hot water, and a flush toilet. Another flush toilet is housed in a separate room. A wooden deck extends from the lodge and is ideal for relaxing, enjoying sundowners, or outdoor meals.

Four semi-permanent tents have been pitched individually on raised wooden platforms overlooking the river. Each platform is surrounded by a reed enclosure, ensuring privacy and shelter from the wind. Each tent contains twin single beds, a nightstand, and a battery-operated lantern. The open-air fireplace is the ideal place to enjoy a braai, cooking, or late evenings around a blazing campfire.

Breede Bush Camp offers a wealth of activities for outdoor and wildlife enthusiasts. While 25 kilometers of continuous private riverbank is available, the foot of the camp features a sheltered beach that allows for easy access to the river. The water is ideal for swimming, canoeing, and fishing, while the surrounding area provides ample walking and bird-watching opportunities.

To ensure privacy, the secluded camp is reserved for one group at a time. Each of the four luxury tents contains two beds, so the camp can accommodate a group of up to eight people.
