Brides Veil Chalet

The Brides Veil Chalet is a free-standing self-catering chalet located high in the Southern Drakensberg region at Lotheni. It offers a view of a waterfall that continuously pours over the rocks, providing a serene and relaxing environment for guests. The chalet is situated in an ideal location for solitude, relaxation, and enjoying the company of friends and family while sitting in front of a log fire in the fireplace.

The chalet can accommodate up to eight guests. On the ground floor, there is a bedroom with a queen-sized bed, as well as a separate shower and toilet. Upstairs, there is an L-shaped area with a queen-sized bed in the 'foot' of the 'L' and four single beds in the 'body' of the 'L'. Additionally, there is another bathroom located downstairs.

The Brides Veil Chalet is fully equipped, and all necessary items are provided. It does not have electricity, television, or cell phone signal. All appliances are operated by gas, including a stove with an oven, a fridge with a small freezer compartment, hot water, gas lights, solar lights, and candle lights. A braai drum and free firewood are available, but charcoal is not provided. Guests are required to bring their own food, clothing, and drinks, as the shops are located far away.

Pets are welcome at the chalet, but they must be given 'Capstar' flea tablets prior to arrival. Guests are also allowed to bring their own horses and enjoy outrides in the surrounding area. The area offers beautiful walking trails, mountain biking opportunities, and breathtaking scenery. The nearby river is also worth visiting. Various wildlife, such as jackals, mongooses, porcupines, various buck species, servals, and even bush pigs, have been spotted in the area. Guests can also enjoy stargazing at night by taking a blanket outside.
