Browns Cabin & Cottages

Browns Cabin & Cottages is a self-catering accommodation situated on a pecan nut farm in Scheerpoort, North West region of South Africa. It is located minutes away from Hartbeespoort Dam, an area renowned for weekend getaways offering tranquility and relaxation. The self-catering units feature uninterrupted views of the magnificent Magaliesberg Mountain range.

The accommodation is offered in various units, including Brown's Cabin, Brown's Cottage, Aloe Suite, Browns Suite, De Wets Cottage, and Pecan Cottage. The Browns Suite and Aloe Suite do not have self-catering facilities. The units are ideal for guests attending weddings at nearby popular venues such as Red Ivory, Greenleaves, Leopard Lodge, Kleine Rijke, and The Barn at Redstone.

The area offers a variety of activities, including hot air ballooning (Bill Harrops is located 5km away), walks with elephants, game drives, and horse riding. Guests can visit restaurants, Van Gaalen's cheese farm, African curio markets, and art galleries. The Cradle Health Spa, situated on a nearby property, offers luxurious spa treatments, spa facilities, and various medical services.

Browns Cabin & Cottages is approximately 105 km from O.R. Tambo International Airport and approximately 36.4 km from Lanseria International Airport. It is situated proximately 1 hour from Oliver Tambo International Airport and 20 minutes from Lanseria Airport.

In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, Browns Cabin & Cottages has implemented social distancing measures, increased the frequency of cleaning and sanitation, and provided a sanitation spray in each unit. The staff wears the required masks.

One of the guest rooms is attached to the main farmhouse but has its own entrance and patio. It features a queen bed, tea/coffee facilities (no TV), and a large bathroom with a bathtub and separate shower. This room does not have cooking facilities and sleeps two people for one-night stays.
