Buffalo Thorn

Buffalo Thorn is a secluded and private self-catering, off-grid cottage located on Kokopelli Farm, approximately 25 kilometers from Magaliesburg in North West province. The cottage is situated against a mountainside, offering clear and vast views over the Buffelsfontein valley onto the impressive Magaliesberg mountains on the horizon.

The cottage is fully equipped with amenities such as hot water, a fridge/freezer, and a stove/oven. Bedding and towels are provided for guests. There is also a braai area overlooking the valley, allowing visitors to enjoy outdoor cooking and dining experiences.

Guests can take advantage of the farm reservoir situated close by, which offers an opportunity for swimming while taking in the vast and scenic views of the surrounding area. Buffalo Thorn Cottage provides an ideal environment and scenery that is not only relaxing but also truly enriching for the soul.

Seclusion is guaranteed at this location, enabling visitors to enjoy the evenings gazing at spectacular night skies and listening to the calls of jackals. It is important to note that access to the farm is not suitable for low-profile vehicles, although a 4X4 vehicle is not required. The cottage operates off the grid, with no electricity available.

Buffalo Thorn offers self-catering accommodation suitable for families, with two bedrooms that can accommodate up to six guests. Each bedroom is equipped with a double bed and a single bed, making it an ideal choice for larger groups of family and friends.
