Buffelsdrift Rust De Winter is a private game farm located 83 kilometres northeast of Pretoria, in the heart of the bushveld. The 430-hectare property is easily accessible from Johannesburg and Pretoria. The Elands River runs through the farm, making it a paradise for bird and nature lovers.

Visitors can stay at Buffelsdrift and spend the day fishing and boating at the nearby Rust de Winter Dam. For those who prefer a more relaxed experience, the cottages' decks offer a peaceful setting to enjoy the tranquility and soothing sounds of the bushveld.

Self-catering accommodation is offered in three rustic, A-frame, thatched cottages. The Crocodile Lapa has two en-suite bedrooms and is situated on the banks of the Elands River. Squirrel and Bushbuck Cottages have a single en-suite bedroom and a loft with two additional beds. All of the cottages are situated among the trees, each in its own secluded spot, allowing guests to enjoy nature without intrusions. Solar lighting and gas for hot water and cooking are provided.

A 10-kilometer hiking/mountain biking trail takes visitors around the farm, offering ample opportunities to view and photograph game, birds, butterflies, trees, and nature. The A-frame cottage contains a bedroom with one double bed, a bathroom, a kitchen area, and a patio on the ground level, as well as a bedroom with three single beds in the loft on the top level.
