The Buffelshoek Farm Cottage is a self-catering accommodation situated on a certified organic olive and chilli farm close to the village of Van Wyksdorp. It is located an hour and twenty minutes away from Oudtshoorn and an hour and a half from Mossel Bay, making it an ideal stopover location for travelers visiting the KKK festival in Oudtshoorn or those exploring the Garden Route and Southern Cape.

The cottage has two bedrooms, a kitchen, a lounge, and a dining room. It features a large braai area with views of the valley and the Langeberg Mountains in the distance. There is a dam for swimming, which is filled after the winter rains. The cottage is situated next to a kloof and a mountain stream, providing opportunities for walking and hiking. Additionally, there is an eleven-circuit labyrinth in front of the cottage for walking and contemplation.

The cottage is located on the Buffelshoek Farm/Blue Sky Organics, a certified organic farm that produces various organic products such as olive oil, table olives, tapenade, olive jam, herb salt, chilli sauces, sun-dried chillies in olive oil, herb flavourants, dressings, and salt. All these products are available for purchase.

Within an hour's drive from the cottage, there are six stunning mountain passes, including Rooiberg, Tradouw, Garcia, Zeweweekspoort, Outeniqua, and Huisrivier. The nearest village is Van Wyksdorp, known for its historic water wheel and 'Die Oog,' a large stream of water coming from the mountains that supplies water to the entire village. The Assegaaibos Game Ranch is a twenty-minute drive away, and the town of Calitzdorp, known for its port and award-winning wines, is located just over the Rooiberg Pass.

The cottage is pet-friendly, allowing guests to bring their furry companions along.
