Buhala Lodge

Buhala Lodge is a five-star colonial-style thatch roof lodge situated on the Southern banks of the Crocodile River. It offers ample outdoor veranda space for guests to relax and dine while admiring views of the Kruger National Park and its wildlife, including frequent visits from members of the Big 5 and various antelope species. The family-owned and run business focuses on guest comfort and relaxation with luxurious amenities.

The lodge features a fully licensed restaurant and bar at the main building, renowned for fine cuisine and an exceptional wine list showcasing South African wines. Meals are served al fresco on the veranda or in the gracious dining room, with a casual elegance ambiance. Dinners are served as three-course meals with daily menu changes, and an a la carte menu is available for light lunches.

Guests have the rare opportunity to play golf at the exclusive Leopard Creek Golf Course, usually reserved for members only, offering a wildlife experience while challenging their golfing skills on South Africa's number one golf course. Safari experiences into the Kruger National Park are arranged by the lodge's experienced guide, including early morning walks and night drives, as well as any necessary transfers.

The open deck bush spa, with sweeping views over the Kruger National Park and the Crocodile River, provides a selection of treatments for guests seeking relaxation after a long day. The lodge offers four room types: Standard rooms, Kruger Park River rooms, Kruger Park Balcony rooms, and Elephant Garden suites, all beautifully furnished and accommodating two guests each, with tea/coffee making facilities and en-suite bathrooms with freestanding showers.

Children of all ages are welcomed with prior arrangement, and the lodge caters for weddings of up to 50 guests, with ceremonies taking place on the viewing deck beneath a sausage tree and three-course dinners for receptions on the outdoor veranda overlooking the Park and river. Additional amenities include a swimming pool, cycling, and large gardens, as well as access to nearby golf courses like Kambaku Golf Club and Skukuza Golf Club inside the Kruger National Park.
