Bushman Valley Lodge is nestled within the Oukloof mountains as part of the 1200-hectare Swartberg Private Nature Reserve in the Western Cape, South Africa. Located just 5km from Prince Albert and 14km from the Gamkaskloof turnoff within the Swartberg pass, the lodge offers both camping facilities and self-catering chalets designed to provide an authentic Karoo experience.

The property extends from Prince Albert to Eerstewater in the Swartberg Pass and holds significant historical value as former San people territory. The valley serves as a memorial to their hunter-gatherer lifestyle, featuring a cultural museum with artifacts that showcase their traditional implements, clothing, and weapons.

The facility offers various amenities including air-conditioned self-catering cottages, an ablution block for caravans and campers, designated fire places, braai areas, and bush picnic sites. The campsite, which can accommodate two vehicles, provides a level terrain with basic washing facilities. A splash pool is available on the premises, and guests can enjoy numerous hiking trails and 4x4 routes throughout the nature reserve, all offering magnificent views of the surrounding landscape.

The reserve operates year-round, providing visitors with an immersive natural experience while maintaining comfortable accommodation standards. The setting beneath towering cliffs creates a dramatic backdrop for outdoor activities and nature appreciation.
