Bushman Valley is situated within the Swartberg Private Nature Reserve, encompassing the region south of Prince Albert and extending to Eerstewater in the Swartberg Pass. The valley was occupied by the San people for thousands of years, and it is preserved as a memorial to their way of life. Visitors can learn about the hunter-gatherer lifestyle of these fascinating people and observe their implements, clothing, and weapons.

Within the valley, picnic and barbecue areas, as well as camping and caravan sites, have been established beneath towering cliffs. The campsite features a fairly level terrain, a braai area without a provided braai grid, and a washup basin. There is no grass present, making it an ideal location for roof-top tents and bush caravans. The campsite can accommodate only two vehicles or bakkies.
