Bushwhacked, a self-catering guesthouse, chalets, and campsite, is situated in Barberton, approximately an hour's drive from The Kruger National Park and Swaziland. It serves as an ideal stopover between Kruger and the Kwa-Zulu Natal coast or the Drakensberg mountains. The accommodation is located on the edge of town, backing onto an uninhabited valley, offering spectacular views.

The guesthouse offers four clean, comfortable double rooms, and there are three separate self-contained chalet/cottages, each equipped with a kitchen, lounge, dining area, and braai/barbeques overlooking the amazing views of the valley. Linen, towels, liquid soap, and sanitizer are provided. The kitchens are stocked with basic supplies such as tea, coffee, sugar, salt, pepper, and washing-up liquid.

Bushwhacked is situated just outside the old gold rush town of Barberton, which has World Heritage Status for the GeoTrail and a rich history that can still be seen and explored. The Barberton Museum is part of an historical walking trail that includes several original 1880s gold mining houses.

The guesthouse is set in the foothills of the Makonjwa Mountains, just 40 minutes from Nelspruit. It offers a welcoming, comfortable, and affordable place for people to relax and unwind while exploring the area. Guests can walk out the back door and up the mountain to explore a wooded valley, where they can spot various animal species and bird life while following in the footsteps of the first gold prospectors on the Fortuna Mine Tunnel Trail. Additionally, there is a well-known birding area, a pocket of indigenous forest known as 'Pedlars bush,' located nearby.

Visitors can explore the old Gold Rush town of Eureka City by quadbike or get an overview of the valley on a scenic microlight flight. The scenic and fascinating GeoTrail World Heritage site can be explored independently or with an accompanying Geologist Guide. Bushwhacked offers incredible views over the valley, peace, privacy, seclusion, amazing dark skies for stargazing, and a safe environment. It features a multi-room guesthouse, and children under 6 years stay for free. The property has large gardens with free-ranging chickens, dogs, and cats, as well as a small campsite attached to the premises. One of the chalets includes a double and a single bed, a fully equipped kitchen and lounge area, a shower and toilet, a private stoep with an undercover braai/barbeque and mountain views, and private parking. The accommodation offers solar-heated water.
