Butler House

The Old Butler House consists of two beautiful houses constructed in 1814 and 1840, located adjacent to each other in the historic part of Cradock. Each of these old manor houses possesses its own unique history. The guesthouse can accommodate up to 16 guests in the two main houses, with an additional 4 guests in two garden rondavels and 4 guests in a garden cottage, bringing the total capacity to 24 guests.

The guesthouse's 10 en-suite rooms are equipped with either a king-size bed, double bed, or single beds, along with amenities such as coffee- and tea-making facilities, a fridge, microwave, duvets, a heater, a fan, a TV, and complimentary WiFi. Secure parking is available on-site, with ample space for trailers.

The property features a large, tree-lined garden featuring a swimming pool and braai facilities for guests to enjoy. Breakfast can be served upon request in the mornings, and light dinners are also available if booked before 13:00 on the check-in date. The extensive garden provides a safe environment for children to play.

One of the rooms is part of one of the two main houses and is equipped with two single beds that can be converted into a king-size bed. This room, along with room 1, can serve as a family unit. It has an en-suite bathroom with a bath, basin, and toilet, as well as coffee and tea making facilities, a bar fridge, microwave, heater, electric blanket, and fan. The room also offers a hospitality TV package and WiFi access.

Children aged 0-2 years old who share a room with their parents stay for free. Children aged 3-6 years old who share a room with their parents are charged R150 per child. Children aged 7-13 pay half price, and those aged 14-17 pay the full price.
