By The Beach

By The Beach is a luxury self-catering holiday home located in Salt Rock, North Coast, KwaZulu-Natal. It can accommodate up to 12 guests, including children over two years old. The property is situated within a flat 200-meter walk from the Main Salt Rock Swimming Beach, which is protected by shark nets and lifeguards.

The home features five bedrooms. The main bedroom has a king-size bed and a full en-suite bathroom. The second bedroom has a queen-size bed with a shower en-suite. The third bedroom has a double bed, a single bed, and a sliding door opening to its own private garden area. The fourth bedroom has a queen-size bed with a door opening to the outside. This room is connected to a long, dormitory-style room with three single beds. The third and fourth bedrooms interconnect with the dormitory room, sharing a shower en-suite and a large dressing area.

The recently renovated kitchen, with a separate scullery, is open-plan to the spacious lounge and dining room. Sliding doors and windows open out to a covered outdoor entertainment area, ideal for outdoor meals and enjoying the views of the sparkling rock pool and tropical garden. There is a covered area housing a gas braai, an open braai in the garden by the pool, and a kettle weber braai (only for charcoal). The stream at the far side of the garden is lined with tall indigenous mangrove trees, providing a private, serene, and relaxing ambience while offering protection from windy beach conditions. Despite its proximity to the beach, the house does not offer sea views.

All rooms are equipped with overhead fans. Air conditioning is available on request in four of the rooms. Uncapped fiber WiFi, a SMART TV with the full DStv bouquet, and Netflix are provided. The main and second bedrooms have TVs. A weekly linen change and basic cleaning service are offered daily during the week. Laundry services are available on request.
