Caelis Place is a private nature reserve situated on a 110-hectare property bordering the sea for 2 kilometers, ensuring complete privacy. The property is powered by solar energy, with the exception of cooking and water heating. It does not have a television or DStv by choice. There is limited MTN cellular reception on the front porch and enough to receive messages and hear the phone ring on the kitchen windowsill facing Paternoster.

The accommodation consists of four bedrooms, two of which are located inside the main house, while the other two are separate outer rooms. The main house also features a living room with a wood-burning fireplace, a 10-seater dining table, two large couches, a bookshelf with games and books, and a corner cupboard. The kitchen is well-equipped with appliances such as a large refrigerator and freezer, working tops, a gas stove, and a fireplace for braaiing and heating during winter. Additionally, there is a garage with extra beds, mattresses, a separate freezer, gas bottles, and storage space.

Caelis Place encourages a simpler way of life, appreciating nature and solitude. The property is home to various resident animals, including grey mongooses, francolin, water mongooses, red duiker, snakes, cape fox, bat-eared fox, karakul, and cape clawless otters. Guests are responsible for carrying off their garbage, including bottles and cans for recycling, and are encouraged to bring extra toilet paper, wood, and charcoal.

The property is ideal for families with children and those seeking a peaceful getaway in a natural setting, with the only visible light at night being the seal island solar lighthouse and the stars.
