Camp Acacia is a self-catering accommodation nestled in Greater Addo, adjacent to the Amakhala Private Game Reserve and a 30-minute drive from the Addo Elephant National Park. The property is uniquely situated on a hilltop within a 300-hectare wilderness conservancy, offering spectacular views of the surrounding landscape.
The exclusive-use facility accommodates up to six guests in three A-Frame chalets, featuring stone construction and thatched roofs. Two chalets are furnished with double beds, while the third contains twin single beds. Each chalet includes an en-suite bathroom with shower facilities and a private patio. A separate building houses the communal areas, including a fully-equipped kitchen, dining room, and lounge area with a fireplace and limited Wi-Fi access.
Outdoor amenities include a swimming pool with sun loungers, a terrace, and BBQ/braai facilities with a firepit. The conservancy provides various walking trails ranging from 3 to 10 kilometers, and the terrain is suitable for mountain biking enthusiasts. The camp's location is ideal for guests planning safari day trips to both Amakhala and Addo reserves.
Being situated in a rural/wilderness area, guests should note that the nearest shop is 30 kilometers away, operating from 7 am to 7 pm. The accommodation package includes arrival and departure transfers between the Amakhala Conservation Centre and the camp. The focus of the experience is on rest, relaxation, and enjoying the natural surroundings with fellow guests.
