Cape Town Heritage Homestay

Cape Town Heritage Homestay is a family-run establishment located in a quiet area in the District 6, Zonnebloem suburb of Cape Town. It is situated 1.4 km from the city center and 150 meters away from the Myciti bus route station, making it easily accessible by public transportation or ride-sharing services like Uber and taxis.

The family consists of a 54-year-old husband, a 21-year-old daughter studying at the University of Cape Town, and a 19-year-old geriatric cat. The suburb is well-known for hosting immersion homestay students who study English at colleges in Cape Town.

Cape Town Heritage Homestay has been providing an immersion homestay experience for English students since 2015. The family's Bo Kaap Malay cuisine, along with homemade dishes like Feijoada, Kabsa, Belgian waffles, and Italian Pizza, add to the cultural tastes and flavors enjoyed during good conversations.

The homestay offers five available rooms: a single room with an en-suite bathroom, a single room with a private bathroom, a twin room with an en-suite bathroom, a twin room sharing a downstairs bathroom, and a twin room sharing an upstairs bathroom. There are three pause areas: a front garden, a lounge, and a rear lapa area, the latter offering a view of Table Mountain.

The rooms have an approximate area of 10 square meters and are equipped with a desk, lamp, wardrobe/closet with hangers, and a single bed. The family enjoys engaging in conversations and sharing their knowledge about the city.
