Caprivi River Lodge is positioned on the verdant banks of the Zambezi River near Katima Mulilo, Namibia. The property features tall indigenous trees, manicured lawns, and gardens that create an ideal habitat for diverse birdlife. The lodge's main building incorporates a lounge, bar, and kitchen, flowing into a dining Lapa with decks and walkways overlooking the Zambezi. A notable boma fireplace with African chairs provides a relaxing evening gathering spot.
Located in the heart of the KAZA (Kavango-Zambezi Transfrontier Conservation Area), the lodge serves as an excellent base for exploring nearby national parks including Nkasa Lupala, Mudumu, and Bwabwata, as well as attractions in neighboring Botswana, Zambia, and Zimbabwe, such as Chobe National Park and Victoria Falls.
The intimate lodge comprises ten river-facing chalets, including five queen rooms, four twin rooms, and one family room. Each air-conditioned, thatched chalet features en-suite facilities, tea and coffee stations, Wi-Fi, bar fridge, DSTV, and complimentary toiletries. The rooms showcase unique hand-made and hand-carved furniture crafted by local artisans using indigenous woods.
The property offers various activities including fishing, safari experiences, bird watching, and river cruises. Regular wildlife visitors include hippos, crocodiles, tree squirrels, water monitors, and vervet monkeys. The bird population features species such as Schalow's turaco, White-browed robin-chat, bul-bulls, and the African finfoot.
