Caracal Lodge is a 300-hectare game farm located in the Houtboshoek valley of Mpumalanga, approximately 48 kilometers from Nelspruit and 100 kilometers from the Kruger National Park. It comprises four luxury self-catering cottages. The lodge offers different accommodation options, each with unique features tailored for nature and wildlife enthusiasts.

Figtree Lodge and Magtree Lodge are bush cottages designed for couples, illuminated by gas and lamplight, and equipped with full self-catering facilities. Kudu and Nyala Cottages are two-bedroom cottages with electricity and all the necessary amenities for self-catering.

The lodge is situated in a picturesque valley with 360-degree views, surrounded by grassy mountains that are home to various antelope species such as mountain reedbuck, grey rhebuck, oribi, and bushbuck. The unspoiled 300-hectare property is inhabited by various introduced game species, including impala, Livingstone eland, zebra, waterbuck, nyala, kudu, blue wildebeest, and giraffe. The shy red duiker is often spotted furtively feeding on the lawns of the two luxury bush lodges.

Visitors can enjoy hiking or 4x4 drives around the ranch, taking in the breathtaking views of the beautiful valley and observing the game. A babbling brook with crystal-clear mountain water feeds a spectacular waterfall, offering a scenic spot for picnics, sundowners, or a refreshing swim in the shade of the surrounding forest.
