Cederkloof Botanical Retreat is part of a working farm located 8 kilometers from Citrusdal. It is situated in a tranquil valley adjacent to a wilderness area, offering stunning views of beautiful rock formations. The retreat provides an opportunity to explore the mountainside on a 4-kilometer hiking trail with unique rock formations covered in lichen and more than 850 fynbos species that attract hundreds of bird species.

The retreat is a perfect getaway destination from Cape Town, suitable for weekend trips, signature birthday parties, or romantic hideaways. It caters to solo travelers seeking quiet recovery, families with children of all ages for adventures in nature, couples looking for alone time, and groups of friends celebrating birthdays.

The accommodation consists of 10 well-equipped self-catering cottages located in a fynbos-covered kloof. Six single units sleep two people, and four double units sleep four. All rooms are en-suite, with some bathrooms featuring showers, baths, or both. Each unit has double doors that open onto a terrace, perfect for sundowners, braais, or stargazing from private jacuzzis.

The luxurious beds are king-size unless single beds are requested, with percale cotton duvet covers and sheets. The private jacuzzis are fed with natural spring water. Guests can enjoy breakfast outdoors, surrounded by an abundance of bird life, butterflies, dragonflies, and other visitors to the indigenous natural fynbos mountains.

Not every unit has cellphone signal or Wi-Fi, with the best Wi-Fi available in units 9 and 10, although these units offer the least privacy. Guests can access unlimited, free Wi-Fi at the central building.
