Chameleon Bush Lodge

Chameleon Bush Lodge is a self-catering lodge situated in the central region of the Dinokeng Game Reserve in Gauteng. The Water Tower section comprises five air-conditioned open-plan twin-bedded (or king size) chalets, all equipped with fully equipped kitchens, private entrances, en-suite bathrooms, seating areas with DStv, breakfast nooks, patios with braai facilities, and three of the units have outdoor showers. This section also offers guests a splash pool, a large lapa area with seating around a central fire ring, and parking on the premises.

The lodge has two Family Units, each with two air-conditioned en-suite bedrooms, private outdoor showers, well-equipped kitchen/dining rooms, patios with built-in braais, and fire pits in the gardens. The standards and quality of these units are consistent with the rest of the lodge.

Chalets 8 to 11 are spacious one-bedroom units with en-suite bathrooms, private outdoor showers, separate fully equipped kitchens, patios with built-in braais, and drum braais in each garden.

The Clubhouse features an undercover lounge/dining area that can accommodate 30 to 40 guests, with hand-crafted oregan tables and chairs, as well as a lovely big lapa. The fully equipped kitchen in the Clubhouse has a gas cooker, grill, pots and pans, cutlery and crockery, a chest freezer, a sliding door drinks fridge, and a bar counter. It also has a big built-in braai and a swimming pool.

The use of the Clubhouse facilities, which are serviced daily, is available to groups booking the entire Lodge. Game viewing, bird watching, enjoying the bushveld environment, and experiencing the motto "The rat race ends here" are among the activities offered. Game drives and guided bush walks by professional rangers are available, as well as a self-drive route where guests can obtain permits at any of the entrance gates.

In the Water Tower, Chalet 1 is located on the first floor with its own private staircase access. It features DStv plus a socket for guests' own Explora decoder, and the en-suite bathroom is spacious with a walk-in shower. The chalet also has a private patio with custom-made wood furniture.
