Chartfield Guest House is a restored, 120-year-old establishment located in Kalk Bay, a picturesque seaside village near Cape Town. It was designed to transport visitors to a bygone era characterized by attention to detail and style, while providing modern amenities. The guesthouse spans three buildings, with most rooms offering unobstructed views of the sea and harbor.

Each room is spacious and private, allowing the cool ocean breeze to enter through open windows, accompanied by the faint sounds and maritime scents of the village below. The decor is understated, comfortable, and uncluttered, offering contemporary seaside luxury. All rooms include en-suite bathrooms, king-size beds, and flat-screen TVs with eight channels, including two DSTV channels.

Guests can unwind at the Majestic Spa, which offers treatments designed to cater to every whim and are available throughout the day, leaving visitors refreshed and revitalized. Conference facilities are also available for those combining business with pleasure, accommodating between 2 and 26 attendees.

Kalk Bay, named after the chalky limestone deposits found in the area by the Dutch in 1806, has a rich seafaring history dating back to the 17th century. The charming village, once a bustling fishing hub, retains its tight-knit character and offers a variety of restaurants, quaint stores, and attractions within walking distance from the guesthouse.

The guesthouse also offers a basic small room with a small double bed, a walk-in shower, and Wi-Fi access. However, this room does not have views, a TV, or much space, and it is accessed through the garden/pool area.
