Chavonnes Farm Cottage is a self-catering cottage located on a wheat and sheep farm in the Overberg region, situated 8 km from Caledon. The cottage offers a unique farm stay experience, allowing guests to relax and spend quality time in a comfortable and fully-equipped setting. It is set against the backdrop of the southern mountains, surrounded by tranquil oak trees and a large lawn, providing an ideal spot for outdoor activities such as barbecues on lazy summer days.

The farm's location offers picturesque views of open canola fields, which are home to a protected population of blue crane birds, a delight for bird enthusiasts. The nearby river also attracts a diverse array of birdlife, with more than 40 species having been identified. For those seeking a more active experience, the farm offers walks through the beautiful fynbos mountain trails, offering panoramic views of the Overberg region. Guests can also enjoy swimming, fishing, or foraging for waterblommetjies in the crystal-clear spring water dams, or simply take in the breathtaking sunsets over the hills.

The cottage itself is located safely next to the manor house, with a separate entrance and a large garden surrounded by oak trees. The spacious living room features an original 1797 fireplace, creating a cozy atmosphere for warm winter nights by the fire. The accommodation comprises two bedrooms that can accommodate four to five people, one bathroom with a shower, a fully-fitted kitchen, and barbecue facilities. Percale linen and fresh towels are provided, and smoking is not permitted inside the cottage. Pets are not allowed.
