Cheese Farm And Lodge

Cheese Farm And Lodge is a small family-run cheesery located between Mtubatuba and St. Lucia, surrounded by lush forest. It is situated approximately 4 kilometers on a dirt road from the main R618 road. After beginning cheese production, a small shop was constructed where visitors could taste and purchase the cheeses, which quickly became popular and had to be expanded to accommodate the growing number of guests.

The lodge offers four comfortably furnished self-catering units for two occupants, as well as four family units. Additionally, a new three-bedroom chalet has been introduced to cater for larger groups. A restaurant is available where guests can enjoy breakfast and lunch, with the option of having dinner delivered to their unit.

Attractions for visitors include the opportunity for children to participate in milking goats, a range of exceptional cheeses available in the farm shop, a kids' play area, a mini-golf course, a swimming pool, and cheese tours. The farm is open year-round for farm and dairy tours, as well as events. However, the farm shop and restaurant are closed on December 25th and January 1st.

The self-catering units are comfortably furnished with a double bed, a bunk bed, an open-plan room with a kitchenette equipped with a gas stove, kettle, fridge, and microwave. Each unit also features a bathroom with a shower, air conditioning, and access to selected DStv channels. Guests are advised to bring their own beach towels and drinking water.
