Chinaka Lodge

Chinaka Lodge is a bush lodge situated in the heart of the bushveld. It is located 110 kilometers north of Polokwane and 16 kilometers north of the Soutpansberg Mountains, approximately a three-hour drive from Pretoria. The area is malaria-free. The lodge offers a quiet and beautiful setting, providing privacy and excellent cuisine. Guests can enjoy romantic bush breakfasts or sit around a crackling fire under the African star-lit sky, listening to the jackals in the nearby vicinity.

The lodge features various facilities, including a swimming pool, restaurant, bar, lounge, open-air boma, entertainment area, landing strip for light aircraft, and a helipad (contact the lodge for coordinates). It also has a communal kitchen with cooking facilities. The terrain ranges from dense bush to flats and a river bank. Guests can participate in game drives, night drives, guided hunts, walking, and hiking trails.

Various animals can be spotted in the area, such as leopards, buffaloes, giraffes, ostriches, kudus, impalas, blesbucs, elands, waterbucks, gemsbucs, duikers, steenbucks, nalas, zebras, baboons, warthogs, and numerous bird species. It is important to note that the lodge does not have credit card facilities available.

The Modjaji Chalet, named after the rain queen "Queen Modjaji," can accommodate up to three guests. It features a double bed, a single bed, an en-suite shower, air conditioning, and a safe for valuables.
