Coffee Bay Pop-Up Camp

The Coffee Bay Pop-Up Camp is set along the banks of the Mapuzi River mouth, 2 km north of Coffee Bay, at the point where the river enters the sea. It will be available from 16th March 2018 until 15th April 2018. The camp is suitable for keen fishermen, swimmers, and hikers, and children have enormous space to exercise.

The camp will accommodate a maximum of 24 guests in seven tents. The family safari tents accommodate two adults and two children under 16 years of age, while the standard safari tent accommodates two adults. The rates include dinner, bed, breakfast, and a selection of refreshments during meal times. A high clearance vehicle is essential to reach the camp.

The location is ideal for children, with wide open spaces and a shallow lagoon. The camp is set on the banks of the Mapuzi River Mouth, and is situated close to the water. The beach and lagoon are ideal for swimming, particularly for children, due to the rocky reef that protects the mouth from waves.

The family safari tent accommodates two adults in twin 92 cm three-quarter beds and three children under 16 on stretcher beds. Each tent includes an attached chemical flush toilet and warm water bucket shower. The tents have lighting throughout, but there are no plug points. All linen, bath towels, and amenities are included, but guests are required to bring their own swimming towels.
